HR Specialist – Design, Fit-Out & Contracting Company

Lusail, Qatar \| Full-time \| On-site
We are a small-to-mid-size design, fit-out, and contracting company based in Qatar.
We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist who has hands-on experience in the contracting and fit-out industry and understands the dynamics of managing a diverse, project-based workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment cycle — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for both office and site-based roles
- Handle all employee relations, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with Qatar Labor Law
- Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and leave management
- Coordinate visa processing, work permits, and government relations (GR) tasks
- Support payroll preparation and ensure accurate monthly processing
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures suitable for a growing company
- Manage staff performance review cycles and support line managers in appraisals
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary procedures, and offboarding processes
- Coordinate with project managers on manpower planning and site staffing needs
- Monitor labor accommodation, transportation, and welfare for site workers when applicable
Requirements
- 3–5 years of HR experience, specifically within contracting, fit-out, or interior design companies
- Solid knowledge of Qatar Labor Law and immigration/visa procedures
- Experience managing a mixed workforce of office staff, skilled tradespeople, and site workers
- Strong recruitment skills across technical, trades, and administrative roles
- Ability to work independently and handle HR operations with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluent English required; Arabic is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office; HR software or ERP experience is a plus
- Must be based in Qatar or ready to relocate immediately
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous HR experience in a small-to-mid-size contracting or fit-out company in Qatar
- Existing knowledge of sourcing skilled labor and tradespeople for fit-out projects
- Experience handling multi-nationality workforce management
- Familiarity with Hukoomi, Metrash2, and LMRA portals
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification is a plus
