The HR Generalist oversees employee relations, payroll, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes.
The role supports a positive workplace culture, legal compliance, and accurate, timely HR operations.
Employee relations
- Manage employee relations issues and promote a positive work environment.
- Guide employees and managers and investigate and resolve complaints, grievances, and conflicts.
- Develop employee relations policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct training on employee relations and workplace behavior.
- Monitor morale and satisfaction and recommend interventions.
Payroll and records
- Manage accurate, timely processing of salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Labour Law, wage protection rules, and tax withholding and reporting requirements.
- Maintain attendance data for payroll calculations.
- Keep personal, salary, and tax records accurate and current.
- Process employee status changes, including new hires, terminations, and promotions.
End-of-service benefits
- Manage end-of-service benefits, including gratuities and annual leave encashment, ensuring accurate calculation and timely processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar Labour Law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and HRIS.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
