Heavy Bus & Light Vehicle Driver

Job purpose

Driving and transportation

• Transport employees, staff, materials, tools, documents, and other authorized items as instructed.
• Maintain timely pick-up and drop-off schedules and follow assigned routes, adjusting for traffic and operational needs.
• Drive to project sites, exhibitions, suppliers, clients, offices, warehouses, and other designated locations.
• For light-vehicle duties, drive company cars, vans, pickups, and other authorized vehicles and make deliveries and collections.
• For bus duties, operate the staff bus on approved routes and schedules, transport employees to and from accommodation, office, factory, and project locations, and coordinate route changes.
• Maintain passenger safety and discipline, prevent bus overloading, and ensure materials are properly secured.

Vehicle safety and general duties

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, fuel, air-conditioning, and other essential components.
• Report mechanical defects, damage, warning lights, accidents, violations, and safety incidents promptly.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable and ensure servicing follows the company maintenance schedule.
• Maintain inspection, fuel, mileage, maintenance, and trip records as required.
• Follow traffic and parking rules, company defensive-driving procedures, and applicable mobile-phone restrictions; ensure passengers use seat belts.
• Assist with loading and unloading when reasonably required and safe, and keep transported materials secured.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct with employees, clients, suppliers, authorities, and the public.

Light vehicle driver requirements

• A valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving Licence is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of UAE driving experience is preferred.
• Previous company, office, or delivery-driver experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi and other UAE roads, traffic rules, and regulations.
• Safe and defensive driving skills and basic ability to identify common vehicle problems and conduct daily checks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; flexible hours may be required.
• Physically fit to assist with loading and unloading; a clean record without serious or repeated traffic violations is preferred.

Salary

• Salary is AED 2,400 per month.
