Role Description
The Head Master Tailor For Men and Women is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for overseeing the tailoring operations for the brand’s ready-to-wear and bespoke garments.
This role includes taking precise body measurements, drafting patterns, cutting fabrics, and executing high-quality construction and finishing for both menswear and womenswear pieces.
The Head Master Tailor will supervise and mentor junior tailors, ensure consistency with design specifications, and maintain quality standards across all production stages.
Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating closely with designers, advising on garment fit and structure, managing alterations, and optimizing workflow in the atelier to meet production timelines.
The role requires active participation in fittings, problem-solving technical issues, and contributing tailoring expertise to new collection development.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong education and practical knowledge in tailoring, garment construction, and pattern making for both menswear and womenswear.
- Candidates should possess skills in curriculum development and pedagogy to train, guide, and upskill junior tailors and atelier staff.
- Candidates should possess educational leadership capabilities to manage a tailoring team, set standards, and foster a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with designers, clients, and team members, and to clearly translate design concepts into technical execution.
- Extensive experience as a master tailor in luxury or high-end fashion, with a strong portfolio showcasing fine finishing, innovative cuts, and gender-fluid designs.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with sustainable practices, fabric properties, and modern tailoring techniques, as well as expert knowledge of fashion production processes.
- Fluency in English is a must.
