Role Description
The Master Tailor for Men and Women is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai.
The Master Tailor will be responsible for drafting patterns, cutting fabrics, and constructing high-quality garments for all genders in alignment with ÚCHÈ’s contemporary and conceptual designs.
Daily tasks include taking accurate body measurements, performing fittings, and executing precise alterations to ensure exceptional fit and finish.
The role involves collaborating closely with designers and production staff to interpret design concepts, select appropriate fabrics and techniques, and maintain quality standards.
The Master Tailor will also oversee garment finishing, ensure consistency in sizing and construction, and help guide junior tailoring staff when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong tailoring expertise for menswear and womenswear, including pattern making, cutting, sewing, and garment construction.
- Proficiency in fittings and alterations, with keen attention to detail in drape, proportion, and finishing.
- Experience working with a range of fabrics and materials, including delicate, structured, and sustainable textiles.
- Ability to interpret fashion sketches and technical specifications and translate them into well-constructed garments.
- High standards for craftsmanship, quality control, and consistency across limited-edition pieces.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with designers, production teams, and other studio staff.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple orders, meet production deadlines, and maintain an efficient workroom.
- Previous experience in high-end, contemporary, or conceptual fashion brands is highly desirable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to ÚCHÈ’s forward-thinking, and innovative design approach.
