Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Head Tailor Master For Men And Women role based in Dubai.
The Head Tailor will oversee end-to-end tailoring and dressmaking for all gender expressions, including pattern interpretation, cutting, sewing, and finishing of bespoke and ready-to-wear garments.
Responsibilities
include taking and recording precise body measurements, conducting fittings, making alterations, and ensuring impeccable garment construction that reflects the brand’s conceptual, gender-fluid identity.
The role involves supervising and mentoring junior tailors, coordinating with the design team on prototypes and production samples, and maintaining high quality standards and timelines in the atelier.
The Head Tailor will also interact with clients during fittings, provide expert style and fit recommendations, and support continuous improvement of tailoring techniques and processes.
Qualifications
- Advanced technical skills in Tailoring and Dressmaking for all gender expressions, including pattern work, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
- Strong Fitting expertise, including taking accurate measurements, conducting multiple fittings, and executing precise alterations.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, understand their needs, and provide guidance on fit and style.
- Proven experience in managing or leading a tailoring team, with the ability to train, mentor, and quality-check the work of other tailors.
- Background in high-end fashion, luxury, or designer ateliers; experience with gender-fluid and contemporary silhouettes is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple orders and deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Dubai
- Familiarity with sustainable and innovative tailoring practices is a plus.
