Overview
**Blackout Coffee LLC** is looking for an experienced and motivated **Head Chef** to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The Head Chef will be responsible for managing daily kitchen operations, creating and improving menu items, maintaining food quality standards, leading the kitchen team, managing inventory, and ensuring full compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
We are looking for someone creative, organized, hands-on, and able to lead a busy kitchen environment while maintaining consistent quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily kitchen operations.
- Create, develop, and improve food menu items.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff.
- Manage inventory, ingredients, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
- Monitor food costs, wastage, and portion control.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
- Coordinate with management on menu planning, pricing, and kitchen performance.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and served according to Blackout Coffee standards.
- Handle kitchen scheduling, workflow, and staff performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Chef.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Experience in menu development and food costing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage, train, and motivate a kitchen team.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Experience in cafes, restaurants, hotels, or hospitality businesses is preferred.
