The role partners with Endpoint Engineering, Field IT, the ServiceNow platform team, Procurement, Finance, Security, Configuration Management, and vendors.
Hardware asset lifecycle
- Own the hardware lifecycle, including planning, procurement, receiving, stockroom management, deployment, assignment, transfer, refresh, redeployment, return, recovery, retirement, and disposal.
- Establish HAM standards, controls, procedures, and ownership expectations across teams and locations.
- Maintain ServiceNow asset records, ownership, location, status, financial attributes, and relationships.
- Drive inventory accuracy through reconciliation, physical and system validation, exception management, and corrective action.
- Track warranties, leases, maintenance agreements, refresh schedules, support contracts, and end-of-life milestones.
- Ensure secure chain of custody and documented retired-asset disposition with Security, Field IT, and approved vendors.
- Support hardware audits, inventory validation, compliance reviews, and evidence requests.
ServiceNow HAM implementation and optimization
- Participate in design, configuration, testing, deployment, operationalization, and continuous improvement of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Professional.
- Gather and document requirements and translate them into process designs, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support source assessment, data mapping, cleansing, normalization, migration, reconciliation, and validation.
- Help configure or validate hardware models, stockrooms, lifecycle states, receiving, transfer, refresh, reclamation, disposal, and audit processes.
- Develop test scenarios and scripts; participate in integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, release readiness, and stabilization.
- Serve as functional HAM subject matter expert and process owner, partnering with the ServiceNow team on architecture, configuration, development, integrations, security, and upgrades.
- Support integrations with procurement platforms, endpoint management, discovery, financial systems, inventory platforms, and vendor data sources.
- Develop process documentation, work instructions, data standards, training materials, and support procedures.
- Identify automation opportunities, reduce spreadsheet tracking, improve user experience, and increase adoption of standard capabilities.
Job specifications
- Starting wage is $89,348–$127,640 plus annual bonus.
