Job Summary
The Hardware Asset Management Analyst supports implementation and continuous improvement of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management within Endpoint Services.
The role owns HAM processes, data, controls, reporting, lifecycle performance, inventory accuracy, governance, standards, refresh planning, and KPIs.
The analyst partners with Endpoint Engineering, Field IT, ServiceNow, Procurement, Finance, Security, Configuration Management, and vendors.
Hardware Asset Lifecycle
- Own hardware lifecycle activities from planning, procurement, receiving, and stockroom management through deployment, transfer, refresh, return, recovery, retirement, and disposal.
- Set HAM standards, controls, procedures, and ownership expectations across teams and locations.
- Maintain ServiceNow asset records and improve inventory accuracy through reconciliation, validation, exception management, and corrective actions.
- Track warranties, leases, support agreements, refresh schedules, and end-of-life milestones.
- Ensure secure chain of custody and documented disposition; support audits and compliance evidence requests.
ServiceNow HAM Implementation and Optimization
- Participate in ServiceNow HAM design, configuration, testing, deployment, operationalization, and continuous improvement.
- Gather requirements and translate them into process designs, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support source assessment, data mapping, cleansing, normalization, migration, reconciliation, and validation.
- Help configure or validate asset models, stockrooms, lifecycle states, and inventory processes.
- Develop test scenarios and scripts and participate in integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, release readiness, and stabilization.
- Partner with the platform team on architecture, configuration, development, integrations, security, and upgrades.
- Support integrations with procurement, endpoint management, discovery, financial, inventory, and vendor data systems.
- Develop process documentation, work instructions, data standards, training, and operational support procedures; identify automation and adoption improvements.
