Group Senior Contracts And Commercial Director
is responsible for leading all contract and commercial activities across the organization.
This role ensures contracts are well negotiated, risks are managed, budgets are controlled, and commercial strategies support business growth.

international commercial background
, preferably supported by a
Quantity Surveying degree or professional chartership
, and extensive experience managing complex, large-scale commercial operations.
Contracts & Commercial Management
- Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts.
- Ensure contracts are legally compliant and commercially favorable.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure all parties meet their obligations and KPIs.
- Manage and resolve contract disputes and claims effectively.
Strategy & Risk Management
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify and manage commercial risks in contracts and projects.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and business opportunities.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage budgets related to contracts and commercial operations.
- Ensure cost control and strong financial performance.
- Oversee performance reporting and commercial tracking.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Apply proper contract standards (e.g., FIDIC, QCS, and other relevant forms).
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial and contracts team.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support business growth and operational efficiency.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong international commercial background.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; professional chartership preferred.
- Strong experience with contract forms such as FIDIC and other bespoke agreements.
- Knowledge of contract and tender procedures and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS).
- Extensive experience in large, complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and contract law.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum
- 15 years of total work experience
- (15+ years required for the Director position).

- 10 years in a management or leadership role
