Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Construction

Role and scope

Group reporting and compliance

• Set up and operate the UAE holding company structure with the tax advisor.
• Deliver monthly management accounts for each company within 10 working days, covering revenue, EBITDA, cash, order book, and collections.
• Produce consolidated IFRS accounts and lead annual audits across all entities; prepare quarterly board packs.
• Manage UAE corporate tax, KSA zakat, and Qatar tax filings.
• Establish and document pricing between group companies, including Gracili and Symfony licences.
• Keep trademarks, licences, land leases, and key contracts, including Baswa, in order.

Planning, funding, and growth

• Build the annual budget and four-year plan with each company head.
• Track margin, revenue per employee, and project profitability, and improve group EBITDA margin.
• Set KPIs and monthly reviews for KSA, Qatar, and Europhon.
• Manage cash flow, customer advances, and bank relationships across three countries; arrange acquisition and growth financing.
• Evaluate acquisition targets, lead due diligence with outside advisors, and integrate acquired companies.
• Prepare the group for a minority investor, IPO, or sale by 2029.

Team and systems

• Lead and develop finance teams in the UAE, KSA, and Qatar.
• Upgrade the group to one ERP and reporting system.

Qualifications and experience

• ACCA, CA, or CPA is required; CFA or MBA is a plus.
• Strong command of IFRS and UAE corporate tax; working knowledge of KSA zakat and Qatar tax.
• 15+ years in finance, including at least 5 years as CFO or Group Finance Director.
• Multi-country GCC experience covering the UAE and KSA; Qatar experience is a plus.
• Background in manufacturing, building materials, contracting, or fit-out, with project-based accounting.
• Hands-on experience with at least one acquisition, due diligence, investor, or private-equity process.
• Experience in a family-owned business moving toward professional governance.
• Big Four audit or transaction-services background is preferred.
• Experience implementing an ERP system and group consolidation.

Leadership attributes and languages

• Discreet and trusted by the family; able to work with the Chairman and three family leaders with equal respect.
• Hands-on builder comfortable setting up systems from scratch, not only managing an established department.
• Commercial understanding of project margins, pricing, and cash in a manufacturing and installation business.
• Clear communicator able to explain numbers to the board, banks, and investors.
• Firm on controls and able to hold every unit to consistent targets and reporting.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage for KSA and Qatar.

Work location

• Work location is in person.
• Dubai-based, with regular travel to Riyadh and Doha.
