Costain is hiring graduate process engineers for its Asset Optimisation and Costain Engineering Limited teams.
Rotations provide experience from initial concept development through design, construction and commissioning.
The teams work with municipal wastewater treatment clients across the UK.
Asset optimisation work
- Develop practical process solutions with operational and construction teams to help safeguard the environment.
- Deliver optimisation studies at feasibility, concept, optioneering and preliminary design stages.
- Help mitigate risk, return sites to compliance and identify optimised or no-build solutions for new permit drivers.
- Provide operational support to improve site performance using existing assets.
Engineering design work
- Develop outline and detailed designs through construction and commissioning.
- Provide technical and engineering support to site teams and clients for successful scheme delivery and long-term operation.
Work arrangements
- Asset Optimisation is primarily based at the St Mary’s Axe office in London; the CEL Process Team is based at Aviator Way in Manchester.
- Working arrangements are flexible between home and office, with regular travel to wastewater treatment sites.
Graduate development
- Successful candidates join the IChemE Accredited Company Training Scheme, with a mentor to support professional development and progress toward chartership.
- The two-year Graduate Development Programme provides technical development, personal and leadership skills, networking and learning activities.
