The General Manager leads the Westburne Midwest division, with P&L responsibility for Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
The role is accountable for profitability, market-share growth, division strategy, organizational performance, and expansion of digital and e-commerce capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the management team and create an environment where employees can perform effectively.
- Evaluate performance against objectives, identify improvements, take corrective action, and continuously improve plans and processes.
- Develop marketing initiatives and identify opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Maintain supply-partner relationships, lead annual planning meetings, and review shared goals.
- Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, IT, and other internal functions to coordinate work and resolve problems.
- Support health and safety policy compliance and represent the Westburne banner and Rexel Canada professionally.
Experience and qualifications
- University degree and over 15 years of leadership experience in residential, commercial, and industrial construction and MRO product distribution.
- Proven record managing multiple branch operations and delivering strong business results.
- Electrical products distribution experience is an added advantage.
- Strong financial acumen, strategic growth mindset, leadership, communication, and hands-on operating approach.
- Experience leading in complex national, multi-divisional, distributed workforces and ability to build trust with teams and stakeholders.
