About This Role
Overview
We are looking for a **General Accountant with UAE trading company experience** to manage financial transactions, VAT compliance, and accounting operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of **UAE VAT regulations, financial reporting, and trading company accounting processes**.
This role requires hands-on experience handling **accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, inventory accounting, and financial reporting** within a **UAE-based trading environment**.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage **daily accounting operations** including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate **general ledger entries and financial records.**
- Prepare **monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.**
- Handle **UAE VAT preparation, VAT return filing, and compliance with FTA regulations.**
- Perform **bank reconciliations and supplier/customer account reconciliation.**
- Process **purchase invoices, sales invoices, credit notes, and expense entries.**
- Maintain accounting records related to **inventory and trading transactions.**
- Support **budget preparation, financial analysis, and management reporting.**
- Ensure compliance with **UAE accounting standards and company financial policies.**
- Assist with **internal audits and external audit documentation.**
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in **Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.**
- **Minimum 3–5 years experience in a UAE trading company.**
- Strong knowledge of **UAE VAT regulations and tax compliance.**
- Experience using **ERP or accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).**
- Advanced knowledge of **Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.**
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle **multiple accounting tasks and deadlines.**
Preferred Skills
- Experience in **import/export accounting and inventory accounting.**
- Professional certification such as **ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent** is an advantage.
- Experience working in **UAE trading, marine supply, industrial supply, or import/export companies.**
