Job Profile

Site and Earthworks Supervision

• Supervise excavation, trenching, earthworks, reinstatement, trial pits, shoring, barricading, access arrangements, bedding, laying, backfilling, and compaction.
• Coordinate road, footpath, interlock, kerbstone, and asphalt reinstatement works.
• Manage excavated materials and construction waste and coordinate excavators, breakers, compactors, loaders, and other machinery.

Civil Works

• Supervise cable trenches, duct banks, chambers, manholes, foundations, formwork, reinforcement, concrete, and related civil structures.
• Check levels, dimensions, gradients, and alignment and coordinate setting-out and level verification with surveyors.
• Coordinate civil works with electrical installation teams to avoid delays and rework.

Electrical Works

• Supervise electrical ducts, cable routes, LV/HV cables, earthing systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate cable laying, pulling, dressing, termination, jointing, testing, inspection, commissioning, and rectification activities.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and jointers and ensure works are ready for QA/QC or client inspection.

Manpower and Productivity

• Allocate manpower, supervise electricians, civil workers, helpers, operators, and subcontractors, and monitor productivity against daily targets.
• Identify manpower shortages, brief workers on assigned activities, and ensure effective resource utilization.

Drawings and Technical Requirements

• Read and interpret civil, electrical, utility, and as-built drawings.
• Verify work locations and cable or utility routes and report discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
• Prevent unauthorized deviations from approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

HSE Requirements

• Enforce company HSE procedures and project requirements, conduct daily Toolbox Talks, and ensure required PPE is used.
• Maintain barricading, warning signs, lighting, and safe access around excavations.
• Ensure safe excavation, lifting, electrical, and underground utility practices and work only after required permits, NOCs, or clearances are obtained.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and damage to existing services and stop unsafe or unauthorized work.

Quality Control

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in excavation, underground utilities, cable works, duct installation, backfilling, reinstatement, and electrical infrastructure works.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, utility, and as-built drawings.
• Ability to supervise work safely in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and permit requirements.
• Ability to coordinate electricians, civil workers, helpers, operators, and subcontractor personnel.
