Responsibilities

• Handle online bookings, emails, and phone calls related to restaurant reservations; keep up to date on hotel happenings.
• Convert guest inquiries into sales by recommending suitable products and services and identifying sales opportunities.
• Review booking reports and reservation accuracy.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally; gather details of complaints and help correct problems.
• Explain current food and beverage activations, promotions, deals, and partnerships.
• Prepare proposals, proforma invoices, and bills for special events and group bookings; collect payment and return receipts.
• Assist the Hostess with welcoming and seating guests and taking reservations during busy periods.
• Support restaurant managers with special projects and client site visits; provide information about hotel facilities and local areas.
• Maintain operational records, including purchase requisitions and weekly supplies, and keep daily reports accurate.
• Keep equipment clean and in working condition, report problems, and follow hotel procedures for safety, security, sustainability, and lost property.
• Follow applicable procedures for guest complaints and work schedules; attend required training, briefings, and meetings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer-service principles, including customer-needs assessment, service quality, and satisfaction evaluation.
• Ability to speak, listen, and write effectively; good knowledge of English and the local language used in the hotel.
• Knowledge of restaurant information and promotions.
• Basic computer and software understanding, including Micros, Opera, and SevenRooms.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
• Work professionally with colleagues toward common goals and demonstrate sensitivity in a multicultural setting.
• Willingness to learn skills and techniques needed for the role; Arabic-speaking ability is an advantage.

Work setting and schedule

• The position supports restaurant reservations and guest service at SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences.
• Working hours follow business demand and may account for hotel occupancy, holidays, weather, and events; overtime and days in lieu are at management discretion.
