Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst

Role summary

Financial reporting and analysis

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and detailed management reports and analysis.
• Analyze revenue, project costs, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare variance analysis with explanations and recommendations; identify discrepancies, trends, risks, and matters needing management attention.
• Analyze financial performance and monitor profitability, costs, revenue, and results for real estate, property, construction, and fit-out projects.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support management decisions.

Closing, budgeting, and management reporting

• Own month-end and year-end closing; prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, account schedules, and general ledger balances.
• Perform and review bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts; monitor actual performance against plans and prepare budget-versus-actual variance reports.
• Analyze project and departmental costs, identify cost-control opportunities, and support financial planning and business performance analysis.
• Prepare dashboards, management reports, and presentations; maintain reporting templates and analytical tools.

Audit and compliance

• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements and prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting procedures; identify process weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.

Qualifications and experience

• A professional qualification is mandatory: ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA, or CIA.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including 3–5 years in a similar position, is stated.
• Strong UAE experience and proven UAE real estate and fit-out industry experience are mandatory.
• Strong experience in financial analysis, management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow analysis is required.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.

Technical skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong experience with ERP/accounting software is required.

Additional requirements

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• A valid UAE driving license is mandatory, and willingness to travel between company offices, projects, and business locations is required.

Compensation

• Salary is listed as AED 12,000–14,000 per month; the structured salary field gives AED 12,000 per month.
