A growing UAE investment company with a diversified portfolio is hiring a hands-on technical accounting specialist.
This is the first dedicated finance hire, with the opportunity to help build the function as it expands.
Key responsibilities
- Own IFRS accounting for portfolio acquisitions, disposals, and business combinations, including IFRS 3, 10, 9, and 13.
- Prepare and review financial statements and consolidations for the company and its investments.
- Advise leadership on the accounting impact of new deals from structuring through completion.
- Handle technical accounting for energy-sector investments and other complex transactions.
- Write accounting position papers and serve as the main contact for external auditors.
- Build processes, controls, and reporting for the growing investment business.
- Help shape, recruit, and onboard the expanding finance team.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of work experience in similar roles and industry.
- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Strong practical IFRS knowledge and hands-on acquisitions and M&A accounting experience.
- Background in Big Four audit or advisory, or finance within an investment, private equity, or holding-company environment.
- Exposure to energy-sector accounting is a strong advantage.
