Job purpose
Oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance for a project or business unit.
Ensure accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage finance and accounting functions; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections; analyze performance and recommend ways to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, tax requirements, and company policies; lead month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitor project costs, revenue recognition, and contract financial performance; coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger; maintain internal controls and financial governance.
- Support senior management with financial analysis, business planning, and strategic decisions; manage and mentor finance team members.
Education and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional accounting qualification is mandatory: ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, or CMA.
Experience and skills
- 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
- Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or project-based experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; business acumen and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Pay
- Pay is stated as from QAR 1.00 per month.
