Guest reception and dining room duties
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean available tables with chairs and current menus prepared.
- Guide guests through dining rooms, provide assistance, and arrange seating for groups with special needs.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings; ensure place settings include clean silverware, napkins, and other standard items.
- Check that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free; maintain clean work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Service and workplace standards
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, communicate professionally, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and support team goals and positive working relationships.
- Uphold quality standards and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
