Guest sales and reservations
- Contact relevant individuals or departments to resolve guest calls, requests, and problems.
- Use sales techniques, including upselling, to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
- Provide guest complimentaries, such as rewards points, show tickets, or gift certificates, as appropriate.
- Promote brand awareness internally and externally.
- Process Marriott Rewards redemptions and enter rewards information when taking reservations.
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
Administrative and service duties
- Perform general Sales and Marketing office duties, including filing, sending emails, typing, and faxing.
- Assist management with training and motivating employees and monitor quality expectations.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address their service needs, and express appreciation.
- Prepare and review written documents accurately, answer telephones professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality, and protect company assets.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
