Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated HSE systems aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001; ensure applicable UAE labor, occupational safety, Civil Aviation, JAFZA, and DP World compliance.
• Lead internal, external, and certification audits; maintain HSE documentation, policies, procedures, and records.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses for warehousing, cargo handling, freight forwarding, transportation, and logistics.
• Ensure safe Dangerous Goods handling under IATA and IMDG rules and monitor workplace, contractor, and vendor safety.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; perform root cause analysis and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training on fire safety, emergency response, manual handling, PPE, and hazard identification.
• Maintain emergency response plans, coordinate drills and evacuations, and liaise with relevant authorities.
• Implement waste, energy-efficiency, and sustainability initiatives and comply with environmental regulations.
• Coordinate safety across Dubai Head Office, Cargo Village, and Jebel Ali Free Zone warehouses through inspections and audits.
• Maintain HSE dashboards and KPIs such as LTIFR and TRIR, prepare reports, control documents, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in any field.
• 5–6 years in freight forwarding, transportation, delivery operations, field supervision, warehousing, or logistics operations.
• At least 2–3 years supervising field executives, delivery teams, transport vendors, or customer-site operations.
• Industry exposure may include freight forwarding, airfreight, last-mile or white-glove delivery, warehousing, project logistics, or data-center/high-value cargo operations.
• Excel, Outlook, CargoWise, or similar logistics systems are preferred; applicable Dangerous Goods awareness or customer-site/white-glove training is also noted as applicable.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• HSE systems implementation, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, hazard identification, operational safety, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• HSE audits, inspections, documentation, reporting, emergency response planning, regulatory coordination, and multi-site oversight.
• Field delivery and transportation operations, customer-site coordination, shipment tracking, milestone reporting, and proof-of-delivery governance.
• Team supervision, shift planning, field resource deployment, vendor and driver coordination, issue resolution, escalation handling, and customer-site safety protocols.
