Role overview

HSE management and compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain integrated HSE management systems aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, occupational safety requirements, Civil Aviation regulations, and JAFZA and DP World HSE standards.
• Lead internal, external, and certification audits and maintain HSE documentation, policies, procedures, and records.

Safety and risk management

• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses for warehousing, cargo handling, freight forwarding, transportation, and logistics operations.
• Ensure safe Dangerous Goods handling under IATA and IMDG regulations and monitor workplace, contractor, and vendor safety compliance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; perform root cause analysis and manage corrective and preventive actions.

Training and emergency response

• Design and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training covering fire safety, emergency response, manual handling, PPE, and hazard identification.
• Maintain mandatory certification and training records.
• Develop Emergency Response Plans, coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises, and liaise with Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, and JAFZA.

Environmental and multi-site coordination

• Implement waste reduction, waste disposal, energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental compliance initiatives.
• Oversee HSE compliance across Dubai Head Office, Cargo Village operations, and Jebel Ali Free Zone warehouses through inspections and audits.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and operations teams across multiple locations.

Performance and improvement

• Maintain HSE dashboards and KPIs including LTIFR, TRIR, and incident statistics.
• Prepare periodic management reports, maintain ISO document control, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in any field.
• 5–6 years of experience in freight forwarding, transportation, delivery operations, field supervision, warehousing, or logistics operations.
• 2–3 years of experience supervising field executives, delivery teams, transport vendors, or customer-site operations.
• Industry exposure to freight forwarding, airfreight operations, last-mile delivery, white glove delivery, warehousing, project logistics, or high-value cargo operations.
• A collaborative, accountable, customer-focused, and improvement-oriented work style.
