Senior front-office investment role in ADCB Treasury & Investments managing a diversified corporate credit portfolio.
Portfolio spans investment-grade and spread products in developed and emerging markets, with responsibility for risk-adjusted performance, liquidity, and capital efficiency.
Portfolio management and risk
- Lead portfolio management, generate investment ideas, assess relative value and macroeconomic conditions, and position exposures across issuers, sectors, regions, currencies, maturities, and capital structures.
- Make allocation decisions and optimise portfolio construction while balancing returns, liquidity, capital use, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor credit fundamentals, ratings, spreads, market sentiment, and geopolitical, economic, regulatory, and monetary-policy developments.
- Identify emerging risks, recommend portfolio actions, and conduct stress tests, scenario analysis, and attribution reviews.
Execution and platform development
- Execute primary and secondary market transactions and seek best execution through active market engagement.
- Build relationships with issuers, investment banks, brokers, and counterparties; source opportunities and act as the bank’s corporate credit subject matter expert.
- Evaluate new products, issuers, sectors, and market exposures; contribute to investment governance, portfolio capabilities, capital efficiency, liquidity management, and portfolio resilience.
Experience and expertise
- At least 8 years managing or analysing corporate credit and fixed income portfolios at a bank treasury, asset manager, sovereign wealth fund, insurer, pension fund, or investment institution.
- Strong understanding of developed and emerging market corporate credit; experience in portfolio construction, valuation, relative value analysis, active risk management, and primary and secondary market execution.
- Sound understanding of liquidity, capital frameworks, and balance sheet optimisation; strong market judgement and a proven investment track record.
Education and credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- CFA, FRM, or another recognised investment qualification is highly desirable, not mandatory.
