Role responsibilities

• Review service levels, customer experience, people, process, risk, and cost indicators; coordinate inputs to resolve open issues.
• Review operating costs against plan, analyze priority projects and issues, and recommend improvements while following applicable policies and standards.
• Track project FTE, manpower, contractual spend, budgets, and other quantitative and qualitative data; provide decision support and management information.
• Lead annual business planning discussions with Retail Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Private teams to inform ITMAM growth plans.
• Maintain ITMAM FTE and organizational design views and work with HR on organizational changes.
• Oversee employee engagement initiatives, communications, events, recognition, and budgets.
• Establish a center of excellence for Active Operations Management or an equivalent production management system.
• Monitor cross-training and resource allocation across teams; drive production management and productivity optimization.
• Oversee operational risk assessment, controls, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting; advise on restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Facilitate monthly service forums and lead quarterly performance reviews with the ITMAM board; track actions and share project updates.
• Manage team activities and indirect project contributors to meet targets, deliver business plans, and resolve issues.

Candidate requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in banking operations, capacity planning, and project management, including at least 5 years in business support.
• Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant specialization.
• Qualification or certification in Business Administration, Lean/Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
• Experience of and exposure to banking operations, process improvement, and re-engineering.
• Relationship management, influencing, negotiation, leadership, and change management skills.
