Finance and accounts role for a group operating in F&B, restaurants, fitout construction, and holding-company activities.
The temporary appointment is for six months and may be extended based on business requirements.
Financial accounting and accuracy
- Ensure accuracy of books of accounts and control vendor invoices, general ledger entries, journal vouchers, accruals, and provisions.
- Manage sales and expense accounting, receivables accounting, and bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain clean ledgers with minimal audit adjustments.
Closures, reporting, and compliance
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closing within agreed timelines, including month-end close within seven working days.
- Coordinate external audits.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT filing, reconciliation, and audit requirements and corporate tax requirements.
- Identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Two to four years of progressive finance experience; restaurant or hospitality industry experience is preferred.
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA, including part-qualified candidates, is preferred.
- Proven multi-entity or intercompany accounting and consolidation experience.
- Strong background in budgeting, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
- Proficiency in Dynamics accounting systems and Excel-based financial modelling.
Skills and competencies
- Strong understanding of restaurant cost structures, including cost of goods sold, labor, and overheads.
- Strong analytical and consolidation skills; hands-on approach with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities; high integrity and ability to manage confidential financial information.
