Ethics and Compliance Officer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and revise compliance policies and procedures, and manage day-to-day program operations.
• Develop and periodically update Standards of Conduct and implement initiatives to foster an ethical culture.
• Carry out independent investigations as advised and help route compliance issues to appropriate channels.
• Evaluate alleged violations, recommend investigations, report to the team leader, and oversee uniform handling of violations.
• Support independent review and evaluation of compliance concerns and their resolution.
• Maintain compliance communications, including hotline awareness, Standards of Conduct, and information about compliance issues and policies.
• Assist with Corporate Governance reports or manuals and other departmental or audit committee reports.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or Accountancy.
• At least five years of related work experience in equivalent or similar industries.
• Fluency in English; Arabic-speaking ability is an asset.
• CFE, CCEP, CIA, CCRP, ICSI, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Able to build positive business relationships, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
• Strong observation and fraud red-flag awareness, listening, accurate note-taking, and fact-based follow-up skills.
• Able to assess information and write concise, accurate, logical reports.
