Install, maintain, inspect, and recommend replacement of hotel tools, appliances, and equipment.
Handle preventive maintenance, life-safety checks, and guest repair requests.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters; identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves.
- Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies; maintain inventory and purchase-order logs.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines; enter and locate work information using computers and operate power lifts.
- Complete life-safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests, and inspect sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
- Assist with disaster-response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
- Support management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance problems and hazards, and complete safety training.
- Provide guest service, maintain confidentiality and professional appearance, and work positively with colleagues.
- Maintain quality standards and recommend or implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost savings.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 2 years of related work experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Workplace and physical requirements
- On-site role at a Dubai hotel location; the position is not remote.
- Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, extended periods standing, sitting, or walking, using stairs or ramps, and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
