Position summary
Engineering and facilities supervisor role focused on equipment maintenance, life-safety systems, guest repairs, and team support.
Maintenance and safety
- Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment; recommend replacements as needed.
- Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters; operate shut-off valves; inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
- Manage parts and supplies, inventory, and purchase-order logs; use computers to enter and locate work information.
- Operate power lifts and complete life-safety checks, including fire-pump and generator tests; inspect sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
- Assist with disaster-response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
Team and service duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance problems and hazards, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; welcome guests and address their service needs.
- Support team goals, uphold quality standards, and identify improvements to efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost savings.
Preferred qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- At least two years of related work experience and two years of supervisory experience are preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Location and schedule
- Located on Al Multaqa Street in Dubai; the posting states the role is not remote.
