Electrician position with Magna International's Cosma group.
The role repairs and troubleshoots base building and facilities equipment.
Responsibilities
- Repair and troubleshoot facilities equipment safely and in compliance with electrical codes.
- Read and interpret schematics and drawings; build and troubleshoot machinery and equipment with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of machinery, equipment, processes, and preventive maintenance.
- Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and train apprentices in equipment repair and safety.
- Use trade-related equipment, meet maintenance schedules, maintain housekeeping, and comply with safety policies and applicable standards.
Minimum requirements
- Certified Electrician (309A) and at least five years of industrial experience.
- Automotive or fast-paced environment experience is preferred.
- Must be physically capable of essential duties, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Experience with base building systems, medium voltage, water cooling, compressed air, or cranes is requested.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, results orientation, basic computer skills, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Compensation
- Starting salary is $48.01 per hour.
