Robotic Technician role with Magna's Cosma group, which provides automotive body, chassis, and engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
- Administer and execute preventive maintenance; repair and maintain Fanuc robots and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Develop and standardize resistance welding processes and implement systems to extend electrode life, including stepper programs and dressers.
- Respond to corrective action reports with root-cause analysis, corrections, and evaluation of implementation.
- Troubleshoot resistance spot and projection welding, MIG welding, and drawn arc welding issues.
- Develop process documentation and maintain records of machine or part changes and welding schedules.
- Standardize welding consumables where possible to reduce costs; improve and standardize destructive and non-destructive tests.
- Support spare-parts list maintenance and routine production equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Support welding development, new schedules and corrections, robot programming, and scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinate repair scheduling with the production scheduler and communicate when assignments cannot be completed as planned.
Education and experience
- Valid provincial certificate or equivalent education.
- Five years of related experience.
- Good command of English, spoken and written.
- Must have the toolbox and tools required to perform the role; the company may provide other specialty tools.
- Proficient in FANUC programming.
- Knowledge of resistance and drawn arc welding equipment, including MEDAR and Lincoln welders.
Compensation
- Salary range is $37.95–$44.06 per hour.
