Job Summary

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform duties safely, efficiently, and effectively in compliance with NOMAC safety rules.
• Perform plant maintenance activities timely and safely per maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Document maintenance concerns and equipment history.
• Report spare parts and consumables needs and update spares availability.
• Ensure proper isolations before maintenance in coordination with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and perform maintenance on equipment under jurisdiction.
• Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair static and rotating electrical equipment in power and desalination plants.
• Carry out preparation required for electrical maintenance on assigned equipment or area.
• Understand equipment operation and associated operating systems.
• Perform 5S housekeeping in the area of work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR at least 4 years as Skilled Electrical Labor in NOMAC plants.
• Bachelor of Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in the same position OR at least 4 years as Skilled Electrical Labor in NOMAC plants.
• Extensive experience as Electrical Technician in conventional, combined cycle, cogeneration, water desalination (RO, MSF, MED), or renewable energy plants preferred.

Required Skills

• Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management system principles.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able and willing to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around chemicals.
• Safe work practices including respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, Lockout/Tagout, fire protection, electrical safety, confined space entry, and PPE.
• Knowledge of waste identification, classification, and disposal.
• Knowledge of environmental and health impacts of plant chemicals.
• Knowledge of firefighting equipment and first aid measures.
• Basic knowledge of power/water plant operational activities.
• Basic computer skills.

Desired Certification

• ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness or working knowledge is preferred.

Work Condition

• Ready to work in a remote location.
