Electrical Engineer (Construction/Landscape)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate electrical works across construction, landscape, and swimming pool projects.
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and project specifications; coordinate with project managers, engineers, MEP teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning; ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Prepare and review material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and technical documents; conduct site inspections and monitor quality and progress.
• Coordinate electrical requirements for landscape lighting, irrigation, water features, pool equipment, pumps, filtration systems, and control panels.
• Monitor external, street, garden, and decorative lighting; coordinate with utility providers and relevant authorities as required.
• Identify technical issues, monitor manpower, materials, and equipment, and ensure materials and installations meet approved specifications.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, material requirements, and cost estimates; coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and inspection records; ensure HSE compliance and safe working practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least five years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Strong experience in construction, landscaping, and/or swimming pool projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience with landscape lighting, external lighting, irrigation electrical systems, and swimming pool electrical systems is highly preferred.
