Duty Manager role in Rooms & Guest Services Operations.
Full-time position at the Sheraton property in Dubai; the posting states the role is not remote.
Guest and front-desk operations
- Process guest check-ins, confirm reservations, assign rooms, issue keys, and set up accurate guest accounts.
- Process room charges, cash, checks, debit and credit payments; help resolve payment-processing problems.
- Block rooms, identify guest requirements and requests, and arrange satisfactory alternative accommodations when reservations cannot be honored.
- Follow up on guest satisfaction and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve guest requests and problems.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping on room readiness and maintain shift logs and records.
- Count the bank at shift start and end, and balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
Team and service standards
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, communicate clearly, and uphold quality standards.
- Maintain positive working relationships, address guest needs, and perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified as required.
Physical work
- The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
