Assistant Cost Controller role supporting two properties in Marriott’s Finance and Accounting category.
The position is full-time, non-management, and not remote.
Financial responsibilities
- Check figures, postings, and documents for accurate entry, calculations, and coding.
- Maintain files, records, cash, and cash equivalents securely and according to procedures.
- Record and analyze computerized financial information and maintain accounting spreadsheets.
- Classify, code, and summarize financial data using journals, ledgers, or computers.
- Prepare and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
- Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
- Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
General responsibilities
- Follow company policies and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Protect confidential information, company assets, and guest and coworker privacy.
- Address guest needs in a professional and timely manner; communicate clearly by phone, email, and in writing.
- Maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified as required; no license or certification is specified.
Location and schedule
- The role is located at the property in West Bay, Doha, Qatar.
- Schedule is full time; the posting states the position is not remote.
