Leads day-to-day catering sales and builds long-term group customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives.
Supports sales activities for larger, more complex accounts; manages team goals and identifies account-growth opportunities.
Education and experience
- A two-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major plus 8 years of sales and marketing or related experience; alternatively, a four-year bachelor's degree in one of those fields plus 6 years of related experience.
Sales strategy and revenue
- Work with the sales leader to implement the property's catering sales strategy and create segment sales plans.
- Assist with internal and external promotions; lead toward maximum revenue and recommend team booking goals.
- Monitor direct reports, participate in sales calls, acquire and close business, and oversee proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
Analysis and relationships
- Analyze market information using sales systems, support six-period projections, and review guest satisfaction results.
- Manage stakeholder relationships; attend events, trade shows, and sales missions; and collect guest feedback before and after events.
People and standards
- Interview and hire employees, use available on-the-job training tools, coach service behaviors, and encourage excellent guest service.
- Coordinate with relevant departments on regulatory and union compliance, and uphold customer service and brand standards.
Schedule and location
- Full-time management position at the Doha property; the posting states it is not remote.
