Digital Operations Support - Freelance Role

Assignment

Platform setup and coordination

• Support setup, configuration, and delivery of attendee applications, content and session tools, exhibitor solutions, and other event technologies.
• Collect and validate information, content, data, and requirements with internal teams for accurate, timely configuration.

Stakeholder engagement and support

• Provide show teams with progress updates, follow up on inputs, and help resolve routine platform issues.
• Coordinate with business teams and suppliers to align deliverables with event requirements and timelines.
• Support users, speakers, exhibitors, and other stakeholders with onboarding, guidance, instructions, and basic troubleshooting.

Quality assurance and reporting

• Test user journeys and check configuration, content, data, permissions, and features before launch.
• Track issues and readiness against delivery standards and event timelines.
• Collect basic usage and performance information; record recurring issues, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities.

Experience and qualifications

• Proven experience in digital operations, event technology, digital platforms, project coordination, or a similar delivery-focused role.
• Hands-on SaaS rollout and operational support experience, including setup, configuration, testing, onboarding, issue coordination, and day-to-day support.
• Practical experience or working knowledge of event applications, content/session tools, exhibitor or attendee platforms, registration tools, or similar technology.
• A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant work experience may be an alternative.
• Basic understanding of websites, CMS platforms, data flows, and integrations is beneficial.
• Strong coordination, communication, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Project management tool familiarity and events or media industry experience are pluses.
