Role overview

The Cybersecurity and Compliance Executive translates KSA-specific regulations into actionable policies and partners with Technology teams to embed security controls.

The role supports data protection, risk management, and regulatory adherence across events and system launches.

Compliance and risk responsibilities

  • Lead PDPL data-privacy readiness and coordinate approvals with Legal; maintain PDPL, SAMA CSF, and NCA control documentation.
  • Manage compliance with SAMA CSF, NCA controls, and CITC guidelines; prepare event security reports for NCA.
  • Maintain audit trails and evidence packs for internal and external audits and regulatory controls.
  • Run vulnerability assessments across web, mobile, and API platforms and coordinate remediation with platform, development, and operations teams.

Security operations and controls

  • Oversee daily SIEM monitoring, triage alerts, and review threat intelligence feeds.
  • Develop, test, and execute incident response plans and tabletop exercises; coordinate breach investigations and post-incident reports.
  • Advise on secure network, AWS/Azure cloud, and identity architectures; specify, deploy, and tune firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Create and update policies and standard operating procedures.

Coordination, training, and reporting

  • Coordinate tool-provider maintenance windows and updates and verify delivery of agreed security reporting.
  • Build and deliver security awareness and phishing-simulation programs for employees and event staff; measure effectiveness and improve programs.
  • Produce monthly dashboards on security posture, compliance status, and incident metrics; coordinate security integration with Technology, Legal, Operations, and external vendors.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 2 years operating closely within the Saudi regulatory environment.
  • Deep knowledge of SAMA CSF, NCA controls, PDPL requirements, and KSA data-privacy laws.
  • Basic project coordination skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional work.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, event technology platforms, and events or media industry experience are a plus.

Employment duration

  • Temporary role lasting 6 months, with an ideal start date at the end of October.
