Desktop Support Engineer

About This Role

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer who can join immediately to provide technical assistance and support for end-users. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware/software issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users (onsite and remote).
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access (Active Directory).
• Install and support operating systems (Windows, macOS) and business applications.
• Handle IT helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution as per SLA.
• Support email systems (e.g., Outlook, Office 365).
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and antivirus updates.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation.
• Assist with basic network troubleshooting (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN).
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and common business applications.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, user management, and group policies.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Office 365 administration.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with imaging tools and deployment processes.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified (MCP/Modern Desktop) are a plus.
• Willing to provide onsite support and occasional after-hours support if required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
