About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to manage and execute developer‑side procurement activities across Amali’s real estate development portfolio.

The role requires a commercially astute professional with 8–10 years of experience in construction and real estate development , with strong exposure to contractor, consultant, and material procurement. The successful candidate will support project delivery by ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, robust vendor management, and compliance with approved budgets, timelines, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, delivery timelines, and development business plans.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for consultants, contractors, subcontractors, materials, and long‑lead items across residential, commercial, mixed‑use, and hospitality developments.
• Prepare procurement packages in coordination with Design, Projects, and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment with BOQs, drawings, specifications, and approved scopes.
• Issue RFQs/RFPs, manage tender processes, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, and prepare comparative statements with clear recommendations.
• Support contract finalization in line with FIDIC‑based developer contracts and internal approval authorities.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and performance obligations with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure procurement commitments remain within approved project budgets and feasibility assumptions.
• Identify cost‑saving and value engineering opportunities without compromising quality or design intent.
• Coordinate closely with Planning and Project Teams to align procurement schedules with construction programs and site requirements.
• Monitor supplier and contractor performance with respect to delivery, quality, and contractual compliance.
• Resolve procurement‑related issues, variations, and commercial clarifications in coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, vendor databases, and contract records in accordance with company governance and audit standards.
• Prepare regular procurement reports covering status, commitments, savings, and risks for senior management.

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of procurement experience within construction and real estate development environments, with developer‑side exposure preferred .
• Strong understanding of BOQs, specifications, drawings, and contract conditions.
• Proven experience managing procurement for contractors, consultants, and major construction packages.
• Solid knowledge of FIDIC contract structures and tendering processes.
• Experience working within the UAE / GCC real estate development sector .
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint ; experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
• High attention to detail, commercial awareness, and strong ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualifications.
• Experience with large‑scale residential, mixed‑use, or hospitality developments.
• Exposure to long‑lead item procurement and value engineering initiatives.
• Familiarity with developer governance frameworks and approval matrices.
