Demand Planner

Job purpose and location

Demand forecasting and S&OP

• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts by SKU, channel, and country, using sales history, trends, seasonality, promotions, and product lifecycle inputs.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, improve forecasting models, and maintain rolling 12–18-month plans.
• Lead demand planning within the S&OP cycle, align assumptions across teams, and present plans and insights at meetings.
• Highlight planning risks and opportunities and propose mitigation actions.

Collaboration, inventory, and product lifecycle

• Incorporate sales pipeline, promotions, and customer insights; partner with Marketing on launches, campaigns, and discontinuations.
• Coordinate with Supply Planning and Logistics to support availability and optimal stock levels.
• Support inventory optimization, provide scenarios for supply planning and procurement, and recommend actions for slow-moving or obsolete stock.
• Forecast launches, phase-ins, and phase-outs; analyze cannibalization and substitution; maintain new-SKU master data.

Reporting and performance measures

• Prepare monthly demand planning dashboards and performance reports; analyze sell-in versus sell-out trends and channel performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Key performance indicators include forecast accuracy, inventory days of supply, availability or service level, obsolescence and excess inventory, and S&OP forecast adherence.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain; consumer electronics, appliances, or FMCG experience is preferred.
• Middle East market experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of S&OP processes.

Skills and preferred experience

• Advanced Excel, strong analytical skills, and experience with ERP and planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, APO, IBP, or similar.
• Business partnering, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Multi-country planning, distributor markets, retail, e-commerce, modern trade, and promotional or seasonal demand planning experience are preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
