Delivery Lead-Java Full Stack Developer

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-performance Java microservices and resilient distributed applications.
• Deliver solutions across UI, backend services, APIs, and messaging layers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Build Kafka producers, consumers, streaming solutions, topics, partitioning strategies, schemas, and consumer optimizations.
• Implement event sourcing, idempotency, retry handling, dead-letter queues, error recovery, event versioning, replay, and high availability.
• Develop integrations across trading, risk, market data, and operational systems.
• Support trade lifecycle processing from execution through settlement.
• Develop event-driven data pipelines for analytics, regulatory reporting, risk reporting, reconciliation, trade surveillance, and operational analytics.
• Support Databricks and data lake integrations while ensuring data quality, governance, and lineage.
• Contribute to ISDA Common Domain Model adoption, event and lifecycle modelling, canonical business events, and cross-platform data consistency.

Key Competencies

• Strong hands-on Java 11/17+ development experience.
• Expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Kafka, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect.
• Experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, scalable architecture, and event-processing patterns.
• Proficiency with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK Stack, and OpenTelemetry.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, Agile methodologies, and capital markets integrations.
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and enterprise data platforms is preferred.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience developing Java applications using Java 11 or later.
• Expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Kafka, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience designing and developing microservices-based applications and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, streams, and event distribution.
• Strong REST API design, development, and integration experience.
• Knowledge of event sourcing, idempotency, retry handling, dead-letter queues, and event versioning.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience integrating trading, risk, market data, and operational systems in capital markets environments.
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and enterprise data platforms is preferred.
