Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in Jeddah.
The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrating data from multiple internal and external sources to support analytics and reporting across TestCrew’s projects.
Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing ETL processes, developing and maintaining data models, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and security in data warehouses and data platforms.
The role involves close collaboration with software engineers, quality engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
The Data Engineer will also monitor data infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement and best practices in data engineering.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines and data infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling to design efficient, scalable, and well-structured data models for analytics and reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Data Warehousing to develop, optimize, and manage data integration and storage solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to support data-driven decision-making and collaborate with analytics teams on reporting and insights.
- Candidates should have proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Java).
- Candidates should be familiar with modern data platforms and tools (such as cloud-based data services, workflow orchestration, and version control systems).
- Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms are an advantage.
