Job Summary

The IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization's IT infrastructure, data center operations, and technology support services.

This role oversees the planning, implementation, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of all infrastructure components, including Networks (Data & Voice), Servers, Databases, Data Centers, and IT Hardware Support.

The role manages four key operational verticals—Systems Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration, and IT Hardware Support—ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of IT services that support business operations.

Key Responsibilitiesit Operations Leadership

  • Lead and manage the IT Operations & Infrastructure function, ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing IT services.
  • Develop and execute infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Establish operational standards, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage IT operational budgets, resource planning, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction.

Data Center Management

  • Oversee the management and operation of the organization's data centers and infrastructure facilities.
  • Ensure the availability, resilience, security, and performance of all critical infrastructure systems.
  • Lead disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, security, and regulatory requirements.

Network Administration Oversight

  • Manage enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless, internet connectivity, and voice systems.
  • Ensure network performance, scalability, availability, and security.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, incident management, and network optimization initiatives.
  • Manage network security controls including firewalls, network segmentation, and access management.

Systems Administration Oversight

  • Oversee server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and operating environments.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, patch management, monitoring, and performance optimization of server environments.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud integration, and platform enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage Active Directory, identity services, backup systems, and enterprise applications infrastructure.

Database Administration Oversight

  • Supervise database administration activities across all production and non-production environments.
  • Ensure database performance, security, backup, recovery, and availability requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with application and business teams to support enterprise systems and data management initiatives.

It Hardware & End User Support

  • Manage enterprise hardware lifecycle processes, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of IT support services and asset management practices.
  • Oversee service desk escalation processes related to infrastructure and hardware support.

Service Management & Governance

  • Establish and monitor IT operational KPIs, SLAs, and service performance metrics.
  • Lead incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and organizational governance standards.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, technology partners, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure service delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and deliver technology solutions.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams across Systems Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration, and IT Hardware Support.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct performance management, workforce planning, and succession planning activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-scale IT infrastructure environments and data center operations.
  • Strong leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary infrastructure teams.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, vendors, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
