Job Summary

We are seeking a Talend ETL Support Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Talend ETL support and operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining ETL processes while ensuring the stability and availability of the Talend platform.

In addition to support activities, the candidate will contribute to minor enhancements, process improvements, and optimization initiatives within the ETL environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily ETL job executions and ensure successful completion of scheduled data integration processes.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve ETL job failures, performance issues, and operational incidents.
  • Perform job restarts, retries, and recovery procedures in accordance with established support processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Talend Servers, Remote Engines, and related platform components.
  • Analyze logs, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate with technical teams to resolve complex incidents.
  • Ensure data processing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Provide production support and timely incident resolution while meeting agreed SLAs.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
  • Support deployment activities, environment validations, and post-release monitoring.
  • Develop and implement minor ETL enhancements, modifications, and optimizations as required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support knowledge articles.
  • Collaborate with business users, application teams, database administrators, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in on-call support activities when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Talend ETL environments.
  • Strong experience in ETL monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and production support.
  • Experience with Talend Administration Center (TAC), Talend Management Console (TMC), Talend Servers, and Remote Engines.
  • Good understanding of ETL concepts, data integration, and data transformation processes.
  • Experience in analyzing ETL logs and troubleshooting data processing issues.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic shell scripting.
  • Understanding of batch processing, scheduling tools, and job orchestration concepts.
  • Experience handling production incidents and performing root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Talend Data Integration, Talend Cloud, or Talend Data Fabric.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based support environments.
  • Exposure to data warehousing and business intelligence ecosystems.

Preferred Experience
