Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in Jeddah.
The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics, reporting, and quality engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities include modeling and optimizing data structures, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance in data warehouses and related platforms.
The role involves close collaboration with quality engineers, software testers, data analysts, and solution architects to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and implement robust data solutions.
The Data Engineer will also contribute to documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data workflows aligned with TestCrew’s digital transformation and assurance programs.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Data Engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines and integration workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Data Modeling for transactional and analytical systems.
- Practical expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools to move and transform data efficiently.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, architectures, and implementation best practices.
- Ability to apply Data Analytics concepts to support reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud data services, and related ecosystem tools (e.g., distributed processing, streaming frameworks) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
