On behalf of its client, Affinity seeks a Data Analyst Lead to advance enterprise data platform reporting.
The role leads a squad focused on equity financial reporting and guides delivery of certified enterprise reporting solutions.
Works across business strategy, reporting, governance, analytics engineering, and stakeholder management with Finance, Operations, and technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather and refine reporting and dashboard requirements with stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into documented product requirements, metrics, and dashboards.
- Align requirements with data application capabilities, including dbt and Fabric, and source systems such as Yardi Voyager.
- Partner with data engineering, BI developers, project management, and IT to validate feasibility and coordinate implementation handoffs.
- Improve reporting workflows through scalable, data-driven changes.
- Provide project sponsors and leaders with progress, risks, and next steps.
Qualifications and experience
- Proficiency with SQL and/or dbt; familiarity with Yardi or a similar enterprise platform.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work independently and manage workload.
- Real estate, leasing, or marketing experience is a plus.
- Experience leading data analytics teams and coordinating user acceptance testing, business validation, issue resolution, and sign-off.
- Experience establishing data definitions, metric governance, business glossaries, ownership models, and reporting standards.
- 7+ years in data product management, business analysis, or a related field, including translating complex reporting needs into data and analytics solutions.
- 3+ years as a data analyst connecting business objectives with metrics, KPIs, reporting outputs, and success criteria.
- 3+ years leading requirements workshops across Finance, Operations, business, and technology stakeholders.
- 3+ years using enterprise data platforms, data warehousing, reporting tools, and governance practices; examples include Microsoft Fabric, dbt, Power BI, and Tableau.
- At least one project involving financial or performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, or enterprise reporting environments.
Reporting and delivery focus
- The role focuses on enterprise financial and operational reporting, business metrics, dashboards, data governance, and cross-functional delivery.
- Experience with financial reporting, performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and enterprise reporting is sought.
