  • Connect trends, drivers and customer outcomes to explain what is happening, why it matters and what should happen next.
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities, commission or complete deeper analysis, and translate findings into recommendations.
  • Prepare and present concise performance updates for governance forums and senior stakeholders.

Reporting improvement and collaboration

  • Challenge duplicated and manual work, strengthen reporting standards and controls, and develop self-service views where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Commercial, Trading, Finance, Product, Operations and Technology to help land decisions.
  • Help shape reporting and governance approaches as the team develops.
  • Share good practice in analysis, data visualisation and storytelling.

Essential experience and knowledge

  • Track record of turning complex information into a clear, balanced narrative with implications, recommendations and next steps.
  • Good understanding of consumer credit performance, portfolio monitoring, customer outcomes, commercial growth and bad debt.
  • Practical Tableau experience developing or improving dashboards and visualisations; strong working knowledge is essential.

Technical skills

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability for analysis, quality assurance and senior-level communication.
  • Experience working with large datasets, reporting controls and data-quality checks.
  • SQL is desirable for querying, validating and exploring data independently.
  • Python or other analytical tools would be useful but are not essential.

Analytical and communication capabilities

  • Investigates root causes, tests assumptions and distinguishes genuine movement from noise.
  • Builds trusted relationships, listens to different perspectives, challenges constructively and helps teams reach decisions.
  • Can adapt communication for senior audiences and make technical or analytical topics easy to understand.
  • Can manage recurring reporting alongside deeper analysis and change activity.

Hours

  • The posting states 37.5 hours per week.
