Cost Estimator / Estimation Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, scope of work, and client requirements; prepare and verify BOQs and detailed costings.
• Estimate materials, fabrication, installation, transport, manpower, equipment, and subcontracted works for events, exhibitions, booths, branding, signage, fabrication, and fit-out.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations; prepare cost breakdowns and apply commercial allowances.
• Prepare pricing and quotation sheets; coordinate across teams, identify cost implications or missing information, and maintain estimation records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in estimation, costing, quantity surveying, exhibitions, fit-out, signage, advertising, or fabrication.
• Strong Excel skills; able to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, layouts, and specifications.
• Knowledge of MDF, plywood, acrylic, aluminum, PVC, digital printing, lighting, electrical works, carpentry, and metal fabrication.
• Strong numerical, analytical, communication, and coordination skills; able to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Experience in events, exhibitions, signage, advertising, branding, fabrication, fit-out, retail displays, or digital printing is preferred.
