Procurement & Inventory Officer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and place purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, and consumables.
• Maintain supplier relationships and follow up on orders, deliveries, quality concerns, and shortages.
• Track procurement spend against budget and flag cost variances or unusual purchasing patterns.
• Run regular stock counts, reconcile records, and set and monitor par levels.
• Apply FIFO practices to perishable and dry stock to minimize waste and spoilage.
• Oversee daily order intake, production flow, and delivery coordination with the kitchen team.
• Maintain goods received notes, supplier invoices, and stock logs.
• Coordinate supply availability with Packing & Dispatch and the daily order pipeline.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient stock and administrative environment.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, purchasing, or kitchen administration.
• Food production, hospitality, restaurant, or similar fast-paced operational experience is highly preferred.
• Hands-on supplier management, purchasing, and purchase-order experience.
• Comfort negotiating and following up on pricing, availability, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Strong inventory skills, including stock counting, reconciliation, replenishment, and FIFO practices.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfort using inventory systems, spreadsheets, or similar administrative tools.
• Basic understanding of procurement budgets, cost tracking, and cost variances.
• Ability to anticipate stock requirements, manage replenishment, coordinate with teams and suppliers, and maintain accurate records.
